Mayor — a 3D town builder that runs in a browser tab. No install, no account, one file.

You start in the Stone Age with a handful of huts and take a town through seven eras to the modern day. Residents are simulated one at a time: they take jobs, pair up, have children, grow old, and vote on whether you keep yours.

The part I'm proudest of is the Register. Most games in this genre delete a citizen the moment they die. This one doesn't delete anyone, ever. So the game keeps a record of every person who has ever lived in your town, grouped into the families they belong to — children inherit surnames, so bloodlines form on their own. Click any resident and it tells you which generation they are and names the ancestors they came from. When a family runs out of living members the town says so, and the newspaper puts it above a raid, because the raid gets rebuilt by Thursday.

You're not a god, either. Ordinances, tax changes and bonds are bills — the assembly votes, and the seats belong to whichever factions your town is actually made of. Standing law arrives era by era: a fire code, a schooling act, a balanced-budget rule. Break one and it costs you every day.
